Has anyone read any of the novels of Jean Plaidy, and if so …?

… Do not you resent being constantly used rhetorical phrases, such as "I Do, is not it? Me? would we?" At the end of almost every sentence? I mean, I'm an American living in England and the British use it very often, but not so often! and certainly not in the 15th century! I love all of the Tudor period and I just can not find enough books on them (I read all the Philippa Gregory, and after a Jean Plaidy book I refuse to read more. She is a terrible writer.) Does anyone know any other books good historical fiction based on the Tudor?

Well, I loved the book by Jean Plaidy from when I was young, but I have not read any of the year. However, I do not remember noticing the use of "I Do", etc Margaret Irwin wrote a trilogy of novels by Elizabeth, Bess are young, captive princess Elizabeth, and Elizabeth and the Prince of Spain. He also wrote a novel about Mary Queen of Scots and Bothwell, called The Gay Galliard. They are old enough books, but you can love, his style is very different from Jean Plaidy is. It is also possible that, as Margaret Campbell Barnes's novels, once an ancient author. but she wrote many novels on Tudor. More recently, Alison Weir, who also writes non-fiction books on the Tudors, has written several historical novels of the time, but I read any of them and do not know what they are.
